Catering

Our catering team are passionate about creating delicious, healthy and nutritious meals for the people under our care. Before anyone moves in, we will create them a food passport, which helps the chef to come up with meals that will offer the person everything they need to remain fit and healthy.

From varied breakfast spreads to hot and cold lunches and sit-down dinners in the evening, we go out of our way to ensure each person receives three freshly prepared meals a day. If a person doesn’t like the look of the day’s menu, our chef will be more than happy to cook them anything that they fancy eating.

We work with dieticians and nutritionists to provide the people who lives at Branksome Park Care Centre with food that will benefit their health to the maximum effect. All food is locally sourced and cooked from fresh, so food retains its nutritional value.

Laundry

With the Care sector facing increasing compliance requirements regarding infection control guidelines; our laundry needs are managed on site by our specialist laundry team. We use an in-house system called ‘OTEX’, this system kills all micro-organisms, bacteria, yeasts, moulds and viruses – including MRSA and C.difficile.

“Evidence shows that OTEX is more effective in decontamination than current laundry systems.” Department of Health

Your relative’s clothing will be tagged with identifiable buttons. Most garments are laundered and returned on the same day. The laundry costs are included in our weekly care fees. Dry cleaning items need to be arranged outside the home and should ideally be avoided for risk of damage. This service is paid for by the people under our care separately and arrangements to take and collect dry cleaning will be made on their behalf.
